An outdoor wedding at Polo Fields in Ann Arbor…
This is a really fun wedding from Taylor and Jacob’s celebration at the Polo Fields Golf Club in Ann Arbor Michigan. We started out at the club for some getting ready pictures before the service. Some of the beautiful details were set up before the service in anticipation of immediately allowing the guests into a cocktail hour after the service.
The service took place at the outdoor arbor overlooking the golf course. It was a beautiful service with about 75 people. I love the look on the groom’s face as he sees her walking down the aisle for the first time seeing Taylor in her flowing dress.
The service at the arbor….
The service took about 20 minutes which is pretty typical for an outdoor service at Polo Fields. The club has a very organized approach to their weddings and everything seems to flow so smoothly. After the service the guests went upstairs for cocktails while the family and bridal party stayed back for some group shots overlooking the golf course. It’s such an attractive facility with great opportunities for photography.
When the couple had finished their photographs outside and everything was ready inside for introductions, the bridal party got lined up for introductions. They came into a thunderous applause and everyone was in great spirits for this celebration. Jacob and Taylor made their way over to the gig table to cut their cake. Toasts ensued and a fabulous dinner was served.

After dinner the couple took the dance floor for their first dance. Everyone was in a great mood and ready to celebrate with the couple. Several tears were shed as she enjoyed a father-daughter dance. These are often a very special moment for families. The party raged on for quite a while and our role was to capture some of the more candid moments of the night. In some cases we will go back out for night shots but weather prevented us from doing so on this particular occasion.
