A fun wedding at St John Armenian Southfield MI…
It was a pleasure to work for Tahlene and Andrew on their wedding day on a cold winter afternoon. The couple met us at Henry Ford Estate in Dearborn for some photos during the Covid-19 shutdown. We have not photographed a wedding here in several years since they closed the house and have been restoring it. We were not able to get access to the home but enjoyed taking some pictures on the side patio.
The couple did their first look as the family looked on. It was a small group and everyone seemed excited to be a part of the first reveal. We did a few family photos as the family tried to stay warm. We intermingled some really pretty shots of the bride and groom as well. Some of the shots around the property were absolutely gorgeous!
On the Patio at Henry Ford Estate…
We spent about 20 minutes or so then everyone was ready to go in and get warm. The wedding ceremony itself was to be held at St John Armenian Church in Southfield, Michigan. We loaded up in the cars and headed out. St John Armenian is one of the most beautiful churches in the city. It is one of the more historic Armenian churches that we know of. It is a wonderful Orthodox tradition with deep roots. A typical service generally takes about an hour and a half. We were free to roam about and pick some very good angles for the service.
The service at St John Armenian…
After the service we took a few more family shots at the church and managed to get some stunning night shots with a couple. This was a rather short day for us, we were not hired to go to the dinner party with the family so we wrapped it up at the church and wished them well.
We are looking forward to our next wedding at St John Armenian in Southfield. It has always been one of our favorites!
We can’t wait for our next Henry Ford Estate wedding!
