In the beginning…
Rebecka and Clinton were amazing! Their wedding was held at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial but we met up downtown at a bed and breakfast to get ready for the day’s events. They wanted to get some really neat photos around the city and at Cliff Bells before they headed out to the lake. I remember when Rebecka suggested this bed and breakfast for the crew to get ready at. I took a look at it on the web and thought it was an amazing spot to get rolling from. They did their first look before we left, then we headed out into the city.
Out into the City…
Our first stop was at the Detroit Institute of Arts. Rebecka’s dress was a touch-off white and was gorgeous against the marble! They were an absolutely beautiful couple. We walked across the street to the Detroit Public Library for some neat shots as well. Spending time around this area is a real highlight for me as a photographer because of the beautiful opportunities to photograph. One of their favorite jazz clubs in the city is Cliff Bells. They made arrangements to take a few shots inside. We walked around the alleys for some more pretty shots.
The Service and Reception…
Then we were off to Grosse Pointe War Memorial where we were able to get a few more pictures around the grounds before guests began to arrive. Denise Tucker, the wedding officiate, is one of our favorites. We always look forward to working with her because of the beautiful weddings she does. The service came off without a hitch and everyone headed upstairs for cocktails.
They were introduced into the room to welcoming applause and a couple of beautiful toasts ensued. When they took to the dance floor their smiles were radiant. You could tell they really like one another and it was so much fun to photograph them. A little later in the evening we went outside for a few night shots. These are some highlights from the day that we thought you would enjoy looking through. We send our very best to the couple and their families.
