A great wedding and reception Canterbury Castle in Lake Orion…
Patricia and Kyle were married at the Canterbury Castle Chapel in the city of Lake Orion on a gorgeous fall day. The weather was perfect and everyone was in great spirits. We started out our photos a little bit before the wedding vows with the couple not wanting to see each other before the service. This works out really well for our Sweet & Simple Packages.
They booked a 6-hour Sweet & Simple Package that includes the coverage of the wedding & reception. The package was the perfect choice for them and includes the artistic time on location creating images as well as all the high resolution files from the wedding. It works really well for a single location where we are not moving around the city.
After a lovely service, we went out onto the grounds in Canterbury Village. We spent a fair amount of our time during cocktail hour roaming around and getting some really pretty images on the property. The staff at Canterbury Castle has their timing worked out perfectly so that there’s enough time for the guests to enjoy cocktails while we have some time to photograph the couples.
Just before the reception…
Kyle & Patricia wanted to mimic a picture that we took during COVID of the couple dancing down below as the guests stood along the balcony and watched. It’s fun to see our work on display at the village and have our clients request similar shots.
The newlyweds were introduced into the room to a great round of applause as they made their way over to the cake table for the traditional cutting of the cake. Where the sword came from we do not know but we loved it! A fabulous dinner was served and some very heartfelt toasts were made to Kyle and Patricia. After dinner the couple took to the dance floor.
Superfunk Jen DJ company put on a fabulous party that evening. She really knows how to pick the music and keep the couples happy. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves on the dance floor. It was a great night and we enjoyed our time very much.
Later on in the evening we went out for a few night shots as the sun was going down. It was a stunning evening and a wonderful couple!
We can’t wait for our next Canterbury Castle wedding!
