In the Beginning…
A great shout out to our LGBTQ wedding community in Metro Detroit! Michael & Rodrigo had two services in Detroit then headed over to the Flynn Pavilion Belle Isle for the party. We met up at the County Courthouse to secure their license and get married in the small and beautiful little chapel inside the Courthouse. It came as pleasant surprise to me to see there was a chapel inside the courthouse! The service was attended by just immediate family. Â
The Courthouse & Park Services…
We collaborated in pre-wedding conversations on locations around the city that held particular significance to Rodrigo & Michael. We had a great time roaming the city and getting some great shots of them. Some to the shots around Belle Isle were some of my favorites. We were on our way to a special place on Belle Isle we have never photographed at before.
Reception at the Flynn Pavilion…
Flynn Pavilion on Belle Isle came as a wonderful surprise! Guests were gathering nearby under an old tree where the public wedding service was about to take place. Extended family and friends gathered to watch the couple exchange vows again, but this time for all the guests to take part in the celebration.Â
We took some time to do some additional extended family photos then strolled back over to Flynn Pavilion on Belle Isle for cocktail hour and dinner. The evening was a beautiful celebration that everyone could enjoy.Â
