The wedding & reception at Westers Family Vineyard…
So this was day one of a two-day event. It happened on a fall afternoon as covid was dying down. Everyone gathered at Westers Family Vineyard & Winery in Rives, Michigan. Michael and Jessica are probably two of the brightest people I’ve ever met. They were incredibly talented and we really enjoyed our time together. I got to know the family a bit leading up to the wedding with all the planning. Jessica’s mom was fabulous with her help and ideas.
The facility has a great dressing room and you can also stay there overnight. After the couple was ready and the momentum was gathering for the service, she wanted to do a first look with her father down by the willow tree. It was a priceless moment. Emotion was strong and we really enjoyed ourselves. Then the groom stepped in for his first look. We spent a little time around the grounds and out under the big oak tree. The staff here is very accommodating.
The Vows…
The service took place indoors and probably only took about 10 minutes. This was a micro wedding for sure with only about 20 guests in attendance. They served a wonderful dinner after their first dance and enjoyed some cake together. Their military friends all sat at the same table and we struck up a very good conversation. A little later on we went out for a few evening photos in the vineyard. We hope you enjoy this blog post and watch for day two coming next year.
