A beautiful wedding at Stonebridge Golf Course in Ann Arbor…
We photographed Kristen and Kyle’s wedding at Stonebridge Golf Course in Ann Arbor Michigan. It was a beautiful summer day out on the back patio where the wedding was going to take place. The bride finished getting ready upstairs and then came down for some beautiful shots around the golf course. Kyle was hiding away while she came outside.
The service on the back patio…
After a little bit of time Kristen went back upstairs while Kyle came out for a few photos. When everything was in place, the service commenced. The look on Kyle’s face was priceless as he watched her coming down the aisle and saw her for the first time on their wedding day. The day had a certain overcast look. On days like this the light is very smooth. I would like to call your attention to how smooth the shadowing is around their eyes in a light pattern like this. Often people wish for a sunny day but sunny days create very harsh shadows around the eyes and under the chin and nose. This lighting pattern is so pretty.
After the service the guests were invited in for cocktail hour. The couple stayed back for a few pictures around the property. One of the good friends of the family brought in an antique car and we took a few pictures with it. I think we spent about 15 minutes out on the grounds and selected a few shots for you to enjoy. After cocktail hour, the couple was introduced into the room to Great applause. Kristen and Kyle made their way over to the cake table before the speeches. A lovely dinner was served and afterwards, the couple took to the dance floor for their first dance.
Michigan State University mascot Sparty arrives on the scene…
It was a bit later in the evening when Sparty made his appearance! I had been forewarned that Sparty was going to be coming to the wedding. That always helps to know about things in advance and I was able to get in a good position for his entrance. There were a lot of Michigan State fans at this event and the place literally erupted! Sparty danced and played with them as the party raged on. It’s so fun to see this kind of spontaneous joy come into a room.

Later in the evening we went out for some beautiful sunset shots. I hope you enjoy these images. It was an absolute delight to work for Kristen and Kyle at Stonebridge golf course in Ann arbor. It is a lovely spot for a wedding and we are so grateful to Kristen and Kyle for letting us be a part of this very special event in their lives.
