Getting ready at the MGM Grand Hotel in Detroit MI…
Once in a while you just get a feeling going in about a wedding that it is going to be a high class affair. Julie & Ajay’s wedding was one of those for me. We started out at the MGM Grand getting ready for the service then quickly moved on to St. Patrick Catholic Church in Detroit where the priest performed mass. It has been several years since I have seen a wedding at this simple but beautiful old church.
The Service at St. Patrick Detroit MI…
After the service we took off for Belle Isle for some shots on what turned out to be a perfect day. We played around there for a while then headed back to the MGM Grand to look at the room and and start cocktail hour. Joy Ride Band kicked off the party and the dance floor was packed all night. I love this band and especially the sax player, I see him around town playing with other jazz bands in the clubs and think he is one of the finest. I wish I knew his name.

After sunset we snuck away from the party to take some gorgeous night shots. It is so much fun to see a couple want these kinds of shots and be willing to give me some time during the night to capture them.
