Some Thoughts…
We met up at Historic Trinity Lutheran Church in downtown Detroit for the getting ready photos. What an absolutely gorgeous bride and handsome groom. They were going to host the party at the Westin Book Cadillac later that night.
The Service…
The interior this church is one of the prettiest spaces in the entire city. The old dark woods are so classic to the period when these great churches were built. Slate floors carved wood, a beautiful couple on their most important day. We were so excited to be able to capture the service for them. After the service in the family photos, we took off for the DIA for some really pretty shots at night. Having two photographers in being able to split up allowed us to get some detail shots of the room before the guests arrived. Emerald City did a fantastic job with the decorations!
The Party…
Cocktail hour at the Book Cadillac Hotel in Detroit was a splendid time to catch up with old friends and enjoy a cocktail. The introduction into the room was full of joy and energy as they took to the floor for their first dance. The evening was full of fun and dancing and so many beautiful smiles. We wish this couple the absolute best and hope that they enjoy the memories as they look at their wedding photos.
We can’t wait for our next downtown Detroit wedding!
