A fall Metropark engagement session…
Jordan and Matthew’s engagement was held at Kensington Metropark in Milford Michigan on a beautiful fall day. We love a Metropark engagement session, they make for a great backdrop for the events. The couple had come to us through a previous client we worked for and already had some experience with our picture taking. It’s always neat when a client has had a friend we photographed for because they know about our style and approach.
Meeting up at Kensington Park is a fabulous place to do engagement pictures. I know the area very well and have some favorite spots in the park that I’ve gotten some really beautiful images out of in the past. We made our way around the area stopping for some fun and laughs. The colors were really pretty this fall and that made for some beautiful backdrops. When photographing, you always have to take into consideration what is behind the subject. You can certainly blur things out with good photographic techniques but those patterns and colors make all the difference in the world in how a picture is perceived.
Generally the engagement sessions last between a half an hour and an hour. The goal is to get some practice in for the wedding and get some beautiful shots for their engagement collection. They’re also doing a save the date magnet for they’re guests.
Looking forward to the wedding…
We can’t wait for their wedding next year! It should be so much fun, they were a great couple and so good to work with. We wish them the best for a beautiful winter and a successful time planning their wedding!
We can’t wait for our next Metropark engagement!
