Candace & Paul’s beautiful Toledo Zoo Wedding & Reception in Toledo OH.
We started out at the Toledo Zoo getting ready and wondering if the weather was going to hold out for an outside wedding. The families finally made the call that the rain was not going to let up for any length of time so we moved the wedding indoors to the theater. I was excited in a way because I had never shot a wedding in this space and the challenge seemed like a lot of fun!
As I am looking back on the photos I am struck by the fact that I don’t see any rain. We somehow seem to walk between the raindrops to get our shots outside. I laughed and had so much fun with the group all day. The wedding was so beautiful in the theater, I love how different this space is. After the wedding service we took some family photos and then played around with the bridal party.
The Grand Hall at the Zoo is such a beautiful room for a wedding reception. I love the way the room photographs. They looked great dancing on the floor & I was able to hustle upstairs and get a great shoot of them from the balcony level with the entire room watching. It was a special night for all of us and I hope they enjoy their new life together. Enjoy the photos and thanks for letting me be a part of the day!
