Getting Ready…
Our day started at the Courtyard Marriott in Troy for some getting ready pictures of the ladies in their room and the men in another. The couple’s friends enjoyed the time together and told stories. We always learn a lot about a couple when we meet their friends. Anne works for Greenfield village in their costume design department and made her own dress. It is stunning! The tremendous workmanship and attention to detail is just beautiful. We also got to have a little fun photographing the little girls in the hallway spinning in their dresses. We caught this when we were transferring between the ladies and the guy’s rooms and it was a really fun moment!
The Service…
Everyone made their way over to the American Polish Cultural Center and tucked away in their dressing room while the guests were seated and the stage was set. Denise Tucker, who is a professional officiant for weddings, performed the service. She is an absolute blast to work with and always has a good story at hand. I love working with her! Denise is absolutely the best and a consonant professional.
The Party…
After the service we took a few family photos and then spent a little time in the beautiful hallways with just the bride and groom. The guests made their way into the room and the DJ introduced the bride and groom. As you might imagine, the dinner was fabulous. The cooks at the cultural center absolutely know what they’re doing! No one went away hungry.
Once dinner finished, the couple hit the floor for their first dance. The dance was well choreographed but as you would imagine, Anne wasn’t leaving anything to chance. She’s a planner and it shows. What a beautiful moment and fun to photograph. The party was on and guests took to the dance floor. We enjoyed working with them so much and hope to see the group again at the next wedding.
