In the beginning…
We met up at the house for some getting ready photos, everyone was in high spirits and ready to go. The wedding was going to be at Sweetest Heart of Mary in Detroit. I remember the first time I laid eyes on this gorgeous church… I could not wait to get back there to photograph this wedding for Coleen & Nicolas. We had a lot of fun shooting the photos and got some really pretty stuff at the church.
The Party…
We had a great time at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial for the party. One of the things that stood out most at the party was the night shots. It was a hot night and I went outside for a breath of fresh air. I was looking across the fountain and visualized them standing on the other side with a low camera angle. It was one of the prettiest shots I took all summer. In fact, it is one of my all time favorite night shots. The water was perfectly calm and the night glow was breathtaking.
We wish Nicolas & Coleen a wonderful marriage and will look forward to seeing what they pick for their wedding album layout.
We can’t wait for our next Sweetest Heart of Mary wedding!
